Bridges to Change

the gist

icon design ✏ social media ✏ campaign design

Bridges to Change is a non-profit organization with the aim to support people on their path to recovery through a combination of community-based housing, peer delivered services, and behavioral health treatment. After a rebrand the team came to me for help on translating their new visual identity into their marketing materials.

The focus was harnessing the uplifting energy of the new color palette while expanding the use of icons and other graphic elements to add versatility.

Livestream graphics

social templates ✏ branding

Bridges to Change was launching a livestream series and tasked me with creating templates to promote each episode. The triangles are a nod to the megaphone and amplifying people’s stories. I landed on the “speaking” graphic element to pair with the discussion format of the live stream and introduce visual movement. I also expanded on graphic details from the website to add interest to the social templates.

Film Festival Promotion

digital ✏ print

Bridges to Change puts on an annual recovery film festival and tasked me with designing a visual style for the campaign that was outside of their regular brand guidelines but still cohesive. The graphics reflect the uplifting stories told in the films being screened while pulling imagery to represent Portland as a city and the work that Bridges to Change does.

Give Guide Promotion Graphics

Bridges to Change needed a unique way to promote their participation in Willamette Week’s Give Guide, an annual campaign designed to get the word out about local non-profits and charities. I was tasked with creating icons for each piece of their mission statement and turning them into social media templates that could be used and edited throughout the campaign.

I kept the icon style consistent with their web icons and used the arch from the Bridges to Change logo as a graphic element in the templates. The brand gradient was used in intentional places to give an uplifting vibe.

Monthly giving program branding

Using their established brand guidelines, I created a unique icon for their Housing Heroes monthly giving program. The icon invokes the idea that you’re giving more than just money when you donate to the program; you’re supporting your community.
