The Modern Fitness Studio: It's online.

Why take your studio digital?

Right now, working out at home is a luxury and a necessity. Even with studios opening up and regulations relaxing many are choosing to stay home to work out. Further, even those that want to get back in-studio aren’t making the list because capacity levels have changed.

The modern fitness studio is online.

However you want to stay it - digital, virtual, at home, on-the-go - the modern fitness studio is online. Creating avenues to make space at home for a fitness routine is pivotal right now. Everyone needs it, everyone wants it, and there is ample space in the market.

The modern studio is digital, yet timeless. It fits in her schedule. It gives him options. It’s part of a habit. It’s the necessary bookend to working at home. And the way she finds community before her morning coffee.

How does a modern digital studio add value?

An online fitness studio and digital library adds value to any student's experience by creating flexibility, accessibility, and new reach.

Flexibility

Digital studios put the students in the driver seat. Students can choose any length, type, and level of classes that meet their needs and their schedules.

Accessibility

Digital studios create accessibility and ease. Your community expands beyond your neighborhood. Digital studios give those who don’t live in metropolitan areas access to world class instructors and classes.

Having a virtual option means your students can still take class even when they’re traveling or too busy to make the trip to the studio. Personally, l have been known to drive 40+ minutes to attend a studio + teacher that I love - I would be ecstatic to access and support those teachers from my living room!

And, pricing - the digital studio gives flexibility in any pricing schedule, opening up the possibility for new students to take advantage of offerings.

Reach

Anyone, anywhere with reliable internet can stop into your studio virtually when it’s online. Now, those that miss your unique studio experience but perhaps moved away, can find comfort with a taste of home in your virtual studio.

Brick-and-mortar is not dead.

I’m not saying that the modern digital studio should or will replace the brick-and-mortar studios that we all miss dearly.

Bringing your studio online only adds value to your students experience and increase engagement, accessibility, and reach.

The digital studio will never replace the in person experience but it is a great opportunity for studios to add value to their memberships.

The digital studio doesn’t need to be expensive.

For a cost effective strategy, I recommend working with Squarespace which integrates with MindBody seamlessly and creating a digital library using Memberspace to create individual logins for your students.
